Suggested first step
Submit the Bethany Wrestling Recruit Form (form=4), then email head coach Pete Di Pol at pete.dipol@bethanywv.edu — no coach phone is published, so the athletics office or the enrollment line 304.829.7611 is the fallback. With 18 wrestlers on the roster, nobody listed at 149 and single wrestlers at 133, 157, 174 and 184, say which weight you project at and ask what the lineup looks like in year three of the rebuild.

Counted from the 2025-26 roster. We recount when Bethany (WV)'s 2026-27 roster goes up, and the change log shows it.

  1. This was the program's first season back in 55 years and the team scored 23.5 points at the PAC meet against Saint Vincent's 118.5 — what does year three look like, and what is the roster size you're building toward?
  2. Jonathan Braun and Zach Kuneff both placed third at the conference meet, and Kuneff was a graduate student — who is the returning core, and how many of the 2025-26 freshmen are back?

Notable
2025-26 was Bethany men's wrestling's first season back as a varsity sport — the College announced the program's addition in 2025, becoming the sixth PAC school to sponsor men's wrestling alongside Hiram, Saint Vincent, Thiel, Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg (Chatham has announced plans to add the sport for 2026-27). At the 2026 PAC Championships at Hiram — the program's first conference championship appearance in 55 years — the Bison scored 23.5 points to finish 6th of 6 (Saint Vincent won with 118.5). Jonathan Braun took 3rd at 174 with a 1:41 pin in the consolation final and Zach Kuneff took 3rd at heavyweight, both earning All-PAC honorable mention; freshman Antwon Bell placed 4th at heavyweight after three straight pins, and Aván Rosado was named to the PAC Sportsmanship Team. Dual wins in the first season came against Penn State-Altoona (57-0), Davis & Elkins (30-29) and Waynesburg (36-21), with a 26-29 loss at Washington & Jefferson. Tournament placings: 11th of 15 at the Tonee Ellis Invitational, 8th of 13 at the ONU Invitational and 4th of 5 at the Jeff Breese Invitational.
