Notable: 2025-26 was Bluefield State's best individual season to date. At the John Carroll Open on February 14, 2026 - the last regular-season event - seven Big Blue wrestlers reached the semifinals and seven placed, led by heavyweight Simeon Bryant, who went 4-0 for the program's first tournament championship of the year with wins over Gannon, Kent State and Otterbein. Kairyn Hall reached the finals at the same event with a semifinal pin over a Penn State wrestler. Ryder Rhodes led the team in wins for a second straight year with 25, taking his career total to 55, and Hall and Rhodes became the first B-State wrestlers with back-to-back 20-win seasons. The team's only dual win of 2025-26 was 43-12 at Emory & Henry on January 20, 2026. Earlier in the year four wrestlers placed at the Averett Cougar Open, a program first, and the team went 2-2 at the Averett Cougar Duals. In 2024-25 the lone conference dual win was 41-25 over Lincoln Memorial on February 6, 2025, plus a 23-3 non-conference win over Emmanuel.
