Suggested first step
Submit the ARMS questionnaire, then email head coach Blake Roulo at broulo@ferrum.edu (phone (804) 479-9920) naming your weight class. 133 and 165 are the two weights with nobody listed on the 2026-27 roster, and 197 and 285 each carry a single senior — those four are the openings worth naming.

  1. Ferrum is in the final year of the D2 expedited provisional process and becomes a full member in August 2027 — will wrestlers who enroll in 2026-27 be eligible for the NCAA Super Region and D2 national championships in 2027-28, and does this year's season end at NCWA again?
  2. 197 and 285 each have one wrestler and both are seniors; what does the plan look like for those weights in 2027-28?

Notable
2025-26 was Ferrum's first season in Conference Carolinas and year one of NCAA Division II provisional membership, so the Panthers were not eligible for NCAA postseason and instead wrestled the NCWA postseason: 3rd at the NCWA Mid-Atlantic Conference tournament (March 14, 2026, hosted by Liberty) with two individual champions and 14 national qualifiers, then 7th at the NCWA National Championships in Shreveport, La. (March 26-28), where freshman Ezekiel Keel won the 125-pound national title 14-13 over Apprentice School's Lucas VanNostrand going 6-0. Four other Panthers placed: Cameron Curva (5th, 149), Hayden Thompson (7th, 149), Andres Cortes (6th, 157) and Braeden Fluke (7th, 285). Regular-season highlights: 51-6 over Lincoln Memorial, 46-7 over Bluefield State, 40-12 over Davis & Elkins, 39-6 at Allen, 31-10 over Coker on Senior Night; 1st place at the Builder Invitational (Jan. 17, 2026) with two champions and five individual champions at the JMU Invitational. In 2024-25, Ferrum's last NCAA Division III season, the Panthers were 7th of 8 at the ODAC Championships, 6th of 20 at the NCAA Region IV Tournament with two national qualifiers, and 15th of 74 teams at the NCAA Division III National Championships with two All-Americans.
