Notable: Pedro Velazquez was the NCAA Super Region V runner-up at 141 in both 2024-25 and 2025-26 and qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships each year, going 17-8 as a senior in 2025-26 with a team-best six major decisions and a season spent mostly inside The Open Mat's top 20. The 2025-26 team's win over 11th-ranked Kutztown at the Virginia Duals was, per MSUM, the Dragons' first ranked dual win since 2019-20. In 2024-25 Ryan Henningson was also a Super Region V runner-up, Mason Gode placed fourth at 174 and Liam Babitt fifth at heavyweight. Over head coach Kris Nelson's tenure the program has produced 20 NCAA qualifiers, six All-Americans and one national finalist (Blake Bosch, runner-up at 133 in 2017-18).
