Pitt-Johnstown won the 2025 PSAC title at 6-0 and the 2025 NCAA Super Region I team championship before finishing 13th at the NCAA Championships. In 2025-26 the Mountain Cats went 13-1 with their only loss the 12-18 PSAC title match at No. 6 Gannon, took second at the Midwest Classic, then finished third at Super Region I behind champion Gannon and Kutztown, qualifying six for nationals and placing 13th of 49 teams with 37.0 points. Brad Morrison won the 197-pound Super Region I title in 2026 by beating Gannon's Joey Lyons 4-0. The program was chasing a 27th regional crown in 2026, and long-time head coach Pat Pecora led the program through 2023-24 before Tyler Reinhart took over.
